On Wednesday 18th April, Year 4 had a fantastic visit from some experts on animals.
There were lots of different animals and insects for the Year 4 children to meet and even hold!
Some animals were invertebrates, and some were vertebrates.
(Invertebrates mean that they don’t have a backbone!)
The animals that came to visit were:
- Stick insects
- Slithery, slimy snakes
- A ferret
- A barn owl
And there was also some shedded snake skin!
This was a very exciting, educational experience because all of the children had the chance to hold all of the animals and insects. If you were lucky, some children from each class got to hold the brown barn owl!
